Last summer Gjermund Braaten left Burton Snowboards for DC, which the young Norwegian rider will be sporting from head to toe. Gjermund is one of the most talented Scandinavian rookies out there, managing to win a silver medal in last season's Big Air in Chiesa Valmalenco, Italy, with an amazing backside 1260. Renowned for their snowboarding clothes and boots range, DC have also recently introduced a line of boards, this year.
Risto Mattila has also changed his gear for the 08/09 season. The Halfpipe Olympic rider (in Salt Lake City 2002 and Torino 2006), who won the Halfpipe World Cup in 2004, shifted from his usual and historical American brand Flow to the Italian Drake boards and bindings with Northwave boots. The well-known Finn rider has already tested his brand new equipment while competing in London's first and last Big Air LG Snowboard FIS World Cup season.
