With convincing finishes in two recent Colorado Ski Mountaineering Cup (COSMIC) events by Bryan Wickenhauser, Jon Brown and Jari Kirkland; team Salomon Crested Butte has secured a solid presence on the US Ski Mountaineering team

Elite Adventure Racing team, Team Salomon/Crested Butte continues its dominance by locking-up three roster spots on the U.S. Ski Mountaineering Team. The U.S. team is now headed to Switzerland to compete in the Ski Mountaineering World Championships February 23rd through the 29th.
Team Salomon/Crested Butte members Bryan Wickenhauser and Jon Brown will help represent the U.S. Men's Team during the World Championships, as Jari Kirkland will race on the U.S. Women's Team.
The first U.S. team qualifier took place at the January 19th COSMIC competition which was held at Snowmass, Colorado. Bryan Wickenhauser finished third with a time of two hours and five minutes, just three minutes off of first place. Jon Brown crossed the finish line in 11th place, while Jari Kirkland captured third place in the women's event.
At the U.S. Mountaineering Team's second qualifier that took place during the COSMIC event at Sunlight Mountain Resort on January 20th, Wickenhauser and Brown finished seventh and eighth respectfully in the men’s competition, while Kirkland finished second among the women.
With our team only taking part in ski mountaineering for the second year, we are really excited to have three of our 4 team members on the US team, said Bryan Wickenhauser about his teams accomplishment. Getting a spot on the US team is exciting, now the work begins as we focus on the World championships in Switzerland”.
With U.S. Team roster spots in hand, Team Salomon/Crested Butte looks to continue training for the World Championship by competing in the , on February 9th on their home mountain.
