SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA - Former U.S. freestyle skier and 2006 Olympic bronze medalist Toby Dawson has been reunited with his father.
Dawson, who retired from professional skiing last spring, was lost in a South Korean market more than 20 years ago. Later adopted by ski instructors in Vail, Colo., Dawson has sorted through dozens of false claims of parenthood. Through genetic testing and background research into the claims, Dawson was able to finally meet his dad.
According to the Associated Press, Dawson's father is named Kim Jae Su. He declined to comment on the identity or whereabouts of Dawson's mother.
