

SAUZE d'OULX, Italy (Feb. 22) - Swiss skier Evelyne Leu won the gold in Olympic women's aerials Wednesday night in Sauze d'Oulx. No American women qualified for the finals.
Leu won with a score of 202.55 and was followed by China's Nina Li (197.39) and Australian Alisa Camplin (191.39).
Leu posted the best scoring jump of the night by earning a 107.93 on her second jump, a back-full-full-full.
Americans Emily Cook (Belmont, MA) and Jana Lindsey (Black Hawk, SD) did not place high enough in Tuesday's qualifying to advance to tonight's finals.
The men's aerials finals, the last Olympic freestyle event of these Games, takes place Thursday night. Jeret "Speedy" Peterson will be jumping for the U.S.
