Year-End Dew Cup Awards Ceremony to Serve as Opening Act for Florida Native

Burr Ridge, Ill. - October 2, 2009 - The Dew Tour, the world's premier season-long action sports tour, today announced that rapper Flo Rida will headline its Music Series presented by Verizon Wireless on Sunday, October 18. The concert will serve as the finale of the fifth and final stop of the 2009 Dew Tour, the PlayStation® Pro, and will take place at Amway Arena in Orlando at 8:00pm.

Hailing from Miami, Flo Rida received national attention when his first single Low, featuring T-Pain, exploded onto the scene in late 2007, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The song from his debut album, Mail On Sunday earned him the People's Choice Award for Favorite Hip-Hop Song as well as two Grammy nominations for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song. Following up the success of the first album, Flo Rida's sophomore album, R.O.O.T.S. also received acclaim when the single "Right Round" jumped from No. 58 to the top spot on the Billboard charts in just one week and broke records for the most digital sales. To close out the fifth year of the Dew Tour, the Dew Cup Awards Ceremony will open the show at Amway Arena.
