WINTER PARK OPENS TODAY FOR 70th SEASON
Vibrant Base Village, New Ski Train and Ski Free Promotion Provides More Choices for Wintersport Enthusiasts Looking for Value

Winter Park, Colo. (November 18, 2009) - Winter Park Resort, one of Colorado's premier resort destinations less than two hours from Denver, opens Wednesday, November 18 for its 70th season with 33 acres, three chairlifts, two trails and the Sorensen Park beginner area. Seven features in the Re-railer terrain park, including rails and jibs, will also be open.

"We've put finishing touches on The Village at Winter Park, the ski train from Denver is back and we have great deals for early season guests, like free lift tickets with a two-night stay now through Christmas day," said Rob Perlman, vice president of sales and marketing at Winter Park Resort.

Early season lift ticket prices are adult: $65; child: $45; senior: $55, 70+: $35; half-day: $59. Season passes begin at $369, available at www.skicolorado.com.

Opening day offerings, available Wednesday through Sunday, include:

- 50% off all group lessons with Winter Park Ski & Ride School

- Two-for-one tuning at Winter Park Resort Rentals

- 70 cent pancakes at Doc's Roadhouse Pancake Breakfast

- 70th Anniversary Platinum Prize Chair: once an hour from 9am to 12pm a lift chair will be chose as a "secret prize winner"

Additional activities on Saturday, November 21 include:

- Flaik GPS Historical Scavenger Hunt, 9am-1pm

- Coors Light Après Ski Party at the Derailer Bar, 2-5pm, featuring DJ Golden B and MillerCoors and liquor specials
