Kona Rider Jason Rennie has just set a new World Record for the longest distance ever jumped on a mountain bike.

Jason smashed the previous record of 116 feet (held by the late Colin Winkleman) to 133 feet 6 inches (40 meters) by jumping ramp to ramp on his Kona Stab Supreme.

The freezing Welsh conditions and loose gravel forest track did nothing to deter Jason who hit the 12 foot (3.65 meter) tall take off ramp at 80mph (128 kph) following a tow in from team mate Jim McBain on a motocross bike.

Leaving nothing to chance the Stab Supreme was his clear choice, stable at high speed, predictable in the air and able to take huge compressions time after time.

Jason has developed his riding skills, building and designing MTB trails at Kona dealer, One Planet Adventure in Llandegla Forest, North Wales, UK, venue of the world record jump.

The new world record will add to Jason's previous world records for jumping motocross bikes.
